Why do I have to wait seven days before I apply for regional citizenship?
There are two reasons: one administrative and one political. In the past, Right to Life saw a lot of nomadic nations, who would join the region, become citizens, and then leave a few days later or leave NationStates altogether. These nomads put a burden on the regional government, which had to process all their applications. A residency requirement of seven days gives the regional government reasonable assurance that an individual plans on staying in Right to Life for an extended period. Second, citizenship includes the right to vote and the right to pursue political office. Individuals cannot vote intelligently and cannot govern wisely unless they are minimally familiar with community politics. Consider this: real-world naturalization requirements range from two years (Argentina) to 30 years (San Marino).

Who moderates this board, and what if I disagree with a moderation decision?
This board is moderated by an (unelected) administrative branch, which includes the region's Founder and his subordinates. They moderate this board according to the ProBoards Terms of Service, the ProBoards Community Guidelines, and the (democratically enacted) laws of Right to Life. If you disagree with a moderator's application of these terms, guidelines, or laws to your (mis)conduct, you may file a complaint with the High Court, which will hear your case. The High Court is an independent branch of the regional government, and it is composed of justices who are nominated by the region's (elected) President and confirmed by its (elected) Senate. The High Court's decisions are final and binding on moderators. Right to Life respects the rule of law and opposes arbitrary control of one person over another.

I still have questions. What should I do?!
If you enjoy scavenger hunts, you can start by reading the dispatches pinned to the world factbook entry (at the top of Right to Life's main page on NationStates). Then, move to the Law Library on this board. Read the regional constitution, regional statutes, regional treaties, executive orders, and past court decisions. If you don't enjoy scavenger hunts or if you're short on time, make a post on the regional message board or in the regional chat room. Somebody should be able to give you an answer fairly quickly. If your question or concern is about something private, send a telegram or personal message to the Founder or the Viceroy.
